Melanoma and skin cancer still take a heavy toll on the Australian Population.
Most skin cancers can be treated appropriately if detected early and diagnosed competently.
The aid of advanced technology to aid in the diagnosis of skin concerns is fast becoming the trend.
Dedicated skin cancer assessment clinics are run regularly at WMC. Any concerns that you may have regarding a change in a spot or the arrival of a new spot can be assessed easily using the very latest technology.
Mole scanner, using magnified digital imaging can identify early changes that can lead to sinister outcomes.
Technology combined with a skilled physician is the best defense against possible threat of skin cancer.
We also have a dedicated Doctor that has specialised training in Skin condition assessment and management.
You don’t need a referral to attend the clinic, but it is best to book an appointment. You will be required to fill in a patient concerns questionnaire and once completed, you will be attended to by a qualified nurse to make further assessments using a digitalised computer analysis. These are then reviewed by our Doctor in conjunction with a consultation and physical examination to determine the treatment plan.
We do also offer a recall and reminder system to document and follow up any abnormal or lesions of concern. If you require a procedure either to further clarify the diagnosis or for treatment, then you will be provided with one at this appointment.
