At Willetton Medical Centre, we are committed to providing comprehensive medical care in the area of women’s health. Our doctors provide a wide range of services including cervical screening test, breast checks, advice on contraception, sexual health and family planning, pre and post-menopausal issues and antenatal care.

Cervical Screening Test (CST)

The CST is an important element in women’s health. The test detects the human papillomavirus (HPV) or cell changes linked to an HPV infection.  The CST is similar to a pap smear test but only needs to be done every 5 years instead of every 2 years, if your results are normal.

Women should have the CST if they are aged between 25  to 74 years old and / or are sexually active. Regular cervical screening tests are required even if you have been vaccinated against HPV.

Breast Checks

Regular breast checks are recommended for women of all ages.  It is important to check your breasts for lumps or any abnormality. If you are having any pain or discomfort in your breasts, please consult a doctor. Make an appointment with one of our doctors to have a breast checked.
